Preprocessing Methods for GC-IMS Image Analysis

Abstract The paper presents a cascade of preprocessing procedures aiming at enhancing the quality images generated by gas-chromatography ion mobility spectrometers (GC-IMS). methods successfully eliminate Reactant Ion Peak (RIP) lines, while additionally filtering out noisy components. resulting enable better localization and matching peaks associated with presence distinct analytes in samples under study.
